IT Project Manager

Job Description:

    We are seeking an experienced IT Project Manager to join a governmental authority responsible for the Swedish power system in Stockholm. This is a consulting position where you will be employed by Centio Consulting Group AB and work as a consultant. The role is full-time and will require a security clearance. You will collaborate closely with the client, which demands a high level of flexibility and teamwork. The authority oversees the safety, environmental sustainability, and cost-effectiveness of the electricity transmission system both now and in the future. The organization employs over 1400 staff, primarily based in Sundbyberg, with additional offices in locations such as Sundsvall, Gothenburg, Luleå, and Sollefteå. Your responsibilities will include guiding significant technical, structural, and process-oriented transformations across the authority's IT applications and platforms to meet the contemporary demands for security and availability. A key part of this role will involve implementing a new registry control system from an external vendor and establishing a new IT environment for this system. Therefore, we are looking for a senior project manager who has a proven track record of leading and executing projects involving security-sensitive information systems in compliance with relevant legislation, regulations, and standards.

As an IT Project Manager, you will lead one or more projects within the authority, staffed by both internal resources and IT consultants, as well as business specialists. Your responsibilities will encompass supporting project owners in drafting project directives and required documentation, planning projects collaboratively with the project team, ensuring adherence to project plans, and guaranteeing that all projects meet security, information protection, and continuity requirements.:

    Develop decision-making materials necessary for project progress;; Drive activities and regularly report on progress and risks to the steering group;; Continuously inform various stakeholder groups;; Oversee the project budget and resource allocation;; Ensure projects are delivered within specified parameters;; Manage vendor relationships and communications;; Procure new solutions as needed according to the authority's directives and processes;; Lead internal project resources effectively and positively, in alignment with the authority's values;; Contribute to the management plan and budgeting process;; Support other projects within the authority as necessary

Qualifications:

  • Certification in one of the following: PPS, PRINCE2, XLPM, PROPS, PMI
  • At least nine years of professional experience as an IT Project Manager in large organizations (defined as having more than 250 employees)
  • Minimum three years of experience in managing IT projects with high information security requirements in the last ten years
  • At least two years of experience actively participating in procurement processes within a government agency or public sector related to IT solutions
  • Led at least two implementations of standard systems that involved requirements from external parties
  • Minimum three years of experience with agile methodologies and tools such as Azure DevOps or Jira
  • At least two years of experience with ITIL in the context of IT production, management, or project activities
