As the 3D Software Engineering Leader, you will play a crucial role in overseeing production workflows, managing resources effectively, and ensuring that project deadlines and budget constraints are met.:

Collaborate with architecture teams to ensure that platforms and products are scalable and modular, aligned with IKEA’s strategic goals.;; Maintain and enforce quality standards across all 3D disciplines to uphold technical excellence.;; Promote best practices in engineering and production workflows, driving innovation in both technology and processes.;; Guide teams using extensive knowledge of IKEA’s business model to enhance information flow and align with technical objectives.;; Lead the onboarding and skill development of new engineers and team members, fostering a future-ready workforce.;; Advocate for security and engineering best practices throughout the organization.;; Investigate and implement new technologies to boost system performance, scalability, and reliability.;; Set strategic engineering priorities and co-create technical roadmaps for product optimization.;; Represent IKEA’s technological advancements both internally and externally.

Qualifications:

• Extensive experience in a senior or lead software engineering role with a focus on 3D development.
• Deep expertise in 3D software and related development, coupled with a robust understanding of computer graphics and rendering.
• Hands-on experience with 3D/VFX workflows and product development pipelines, utilizing tools such as Revit, SolidWorks, and various 3D Digital Content Creation tools.
• Familiarity with Pixar’s USD (Universal Scene Description) and MaterialX is advantageous.
• General awareness of 3D asset creation including texturing, lighting, rigging, and posing.
• Proficiency with technologies such as Azure, Terraform, Docker, OpenAPI, Three.js, React, and C++.
• A DevOps mindset to ensure the efficient operation of critical applications.
• Experience with Agile methodologies and working in Agile teams.
