Research Scientist Cellular Assay Development
Job Description:
- We are seeking an experienced, enthusiastic, and self-driven Research Scientist to join our team in Berlin-Adlershof. The primary focus of this position is the development of cellular assays that will be utilized for antibody characterization. The ideal candidate will contribute to the advancement of innovative therapeutics targeting tumor-associated carbohydrate antigens.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the following tasks::
- Development and establishment of in vitro cancer models, including both 2D and 3D., Generation and characterization of stable knock-out and knock-in cell lines using techniques such as CRISPR/Cas., Design and performance of functional cellular assays to validate monoclonal antibody candidates., Conducting experiments to explore the activity and mechanisms of action of monoclonal antibody candidates., Analysis of carbohydrate structures present in the extracellular space., Establishment, optimization, characterization, and validation of cell-based analytical methods., Interpretation and analysis of data based on project requirements using tools such as R and Prism., Staying updated on scientific advancements in the field through literature and conferences.

Qualifications:
- PhD degree in Life Sciences with a focus on immunology

- obtained within the last three years.
- Extensive hands-on experience in cell line engineering and flow cytometry is essential; experience with primary immune cell culture is a plus.
- Proven experience in the design

- and analysis of cell-based assays for proliferation
- cell death
- adhesion
- migration
- and other immune-oncological assays is preferred.
- Experience in 3D cell culture and extracellular vesicle isolation and analysis is a significant advantage.
- Familiarity with data analytics using R or Python is beneficial.
- Demonstrated ability to design and execute experiments
- critically interpret results
- and present findings effectively.
- Fluency in English is required; a valid work permit for Germany is mandatory for non-EU applicants.
