As a Senior Backend Engineer, you will be responsible for the following tasks::

Implementing and maintaining a central Symfony application that provides services and infrastructure for product teams, Supporting the implementation of CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure, and monitoring using CDK or Terraform and Datadog, Conceiving and implementing solutions for our high-performance platform, which serves 8.5 million unique users daily, Collaborating with other development teams to ensure smooth operation of the central Symfony application for various products, Continuously developing the Symfony application on a globally accessible cloud infrastructure, modernizing it for cloud computing, Overseeing software design, programming, code reviews, testing, deployment, monitoring, and maintenance of the Symfony application

Qualifications:

• Completed training in IT or a degree in computer science or a related field
• At least 3 years of experience in PHP development
• Strong proficiency in the Symfony framework and its ecosystem
• Experience working in agile development teams

• Familiarity with cloud platforms and infrastructure automation
• particularly AWS with CDK is a plus
• Nice-to-Haves: Experience with frontend technologies such as React and TypeScript
• Excellent command of English; knowledge of German is a plus
• Experience in building and maintaining centralized application infrastructures
• Familiarity with microservices architecture and API design
• Strong understanding of PHP best practices
