Job Description:

We are seeking a Senior Engineer to enhance our Application Performance Management team in Walldorf. As a Senior Engineer, you will act as a bridge between application and infrastructure, addressing both technical and organizational matters. What you'll do::

Programming primarily in Golang, including Kubernetes Operators, REST APIs, libraries, and tools, Designing solutions to provide new features for our customers, Developing and operating highly scalable cloud solutions, Ensuring a seamless experience for engineers in a multi-tenancy cloud environment, including a path to production, observability, and metrics, Automating tasks, particularly self-healing mechanisms of the platform, Supporting development teams in their daily operational work, Exploring new technologies and introducing them to others to foster innovation and create business value, Communicating technical problems and understanding business requirements effectively, Addressing bug fixes and user requests related to designed software, Participating in On-Call Duty if self-healing mechanisms are insufficient

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science

• At least 5 years of experience as an engineer
• Proficient in Go

• Python
• or Bash/Power Shell
• with experience managing cloud infrastructure (e.g.
• Kubernetes
• Terraform
• Docker) and exposure to configuration management tools
• Strong knowledge of operating Linux/Unix-based systems
• including kernel
• shell
• and scripting
• Familiar with at least one cloud solution such as Amazon AWS
• Azure
• Google
• or Openstack
• Experience with containers and orchestration platforms (Docker
• Kubernetes
• etc.)
• Understanding of SOLID
• DRY
• and KISS principles
• Proficient in code management using GitLab or GitHub
• Solid understanding of software design

• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to drill down to the code level
