Software Developer – C/C++

Software Developer - Germany (nationwide)

Responsibilities:

• Further develop central operating system components of the mainframe operating system.
• Support the software lifecycle from specification to implementation, testing, maintenance, and service support.
• Collaborate on concepts for innovative and complex IT architectures based on customer requirements.
• Work in large development teams and collaborate with international strategic partners.
• Assist in the provision of technical documentation and creation of content for user manuals.
• Provide technical support to our service and sales colleagues, including problem-solving for our modules and third-party components.

Qualifications:

• Successfully completed degree (e.g., computer science) or comparable vocational training in the IT environment.
• Initial professional experience in software development.
• Proficiency in programming languages (preferably assembler, C/C++, and scripting languages) and debugging systems.
• Experience in the development lifecycle, including source management and continuous integration.
• Passion for software development.
• Knowledge and/or experience in C runtime environments for operating systems.
• Familiarity with database middleware and transaction processing is desirable.
• High analytical skills, flexibility, creativity, and a strong customer and service orientation.
• Very good knowledge of German and good knowledge of English.
