Job Description:

As a leading meal kit company active in multiple countries, we are looking for an Associate Director of Sustainability to lead our sustainability initiatives in the DACH region. This role involves driving decarbonization efforts, managing sustainability targets, and initiating innovative projects to promote sustainable practices in the food industry.

Your Area of Responsibility:
- Lead the sustainability roadmap and projects in the DACH region, driving decarbonization and sustainability targets., Report to the Vice President of Strategy & Transformation in DACH, and be part of a strategic team of international sustainability leaders., Shape the transformation journey towards sustainable food supply and consumption., Drive the DACH Sustainability Program, focusing on carbon emission reduction, product sustainability, and packaging innovations., Develop sustainability targets and monitor KPIs to ensure transparency to the C-Level and wider organization., Lead cross-functional sustainability projects, fostering collaboration across various departments to achieve goals., Work with other regions and global sustainability functions to drive best practices and innovation., Support internal stakeholders in the design and implementation of sustainability programs., Steer the business to integrate sustainability metrics into decision-making processes., Oversee the DACH Environmental, Social, and Governance landscape to ensure compliance with reporting regulations., Establish and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders, engaging in national initiatives.

Qualifications:
- A minimum of five years of relevant professional experience in a similar role.
- Experience in managing direct reports or cross-functional teams with a focus on transformational leadership.
- Postgraduate degree in sustainability

- Excellent stakeholder management skills with experience engaging senior management.
- Experience managing a diverse portfolio of sustainability projects
- including product and technology stakeholders.
- Knowledge of sustainability reporting and a solid understanding of Environmental
- Social
- and Governance reporting frameworks.
- Substantial knowledge of the food industry and product sustainability
- including regenerative agriculture and supply chain sustainability.
- Experience managing strategic partnerships and collaborating with consultancy partners or NGOs.
- A passion for developing sustainable solutions with a balance of environmental and commercial viability.
- Data-driven mindset with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Fluency in both German and English.
