Job Description:

We are seeking a motivated development engineer to support our Electronics team in Ulm, Germany.

As a Development Engineer, you will be responsible for the following tasks::
- Design and develop optomechanical systems and components, Build and test prototypes, conducting experiments to validate design concepts, Perform optical and mechanical simulations, Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including software development, production, R&D, and electronics, Create and maintain technical documentation and reports

Qualifications:
- Passion for experimentation and problem-solving
- Degree in physics

- with basic knowledge in optical simulation and programming in Python
- Familiarity with finite element simulation for optical applications and understanding of material properties' effects on component performance is advantageous
- Experience with laser-based microscopy is preferred
- Proficient in German and capable of communicating effectively in English

- Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively
