Job Description:

We are currently looking for a Key Account Manager to join our team in Wolfsburg, Germany. This position is responsible for account management, business development, customer management, and information management, reporting directly to the Key Account Director.

General Responsibilities::

    Manage account responsibilities for Volkswagen, focusing on business development and customer management., Handle incoming RFQs and requests., Review request documents and allocate tasks to the internal calculation team., Clarify technical details and open topics with the Technical Development department at the customer., Create requests and discuss options with potential equipment suppliers., Prepare documentation for issuing orders, handover to customers, and inputting into customer systems., Introduce concepts and offer prerequisites to the customer., Conduct price negotiations and review contract documents., Transition to the internal project team and oversee initial project steps after being awarded., Manage customer cost breakdowns in collaboration with cost estimators., Handle engineering change requests with local and overseas teams., Attend customer project reviews and represent the sales team., Oversee the ordering system and create invoices, including all amendments., Track incoming payments and manage outstanding claims, considering amendments and costs., Supervise project management regarding cash flow control and logistics processes., Serve as the worldwide administrator for Volkswagen's system for multiple locations., Allocate roles based on project requirements.

Qualifications:

  • Completed vocational training or studies in the technical or commercial area; a university degree in business administration or mechanical engineering is preferred.
  • At least three years of professional experience in the sales department of an automotive supplier
  • with first-tier experience being a plus.
  • Knowledge of sales for technical products requiring explanation or customized solutions.
  • Strong technical understanding.
