A centralized Group Engineering Organization serves as a key enabler, providing expertise and enhanced execution capabilities for the successful implementation of strategic projects. Operational engineering support is mission-critical to drive feasibility, basic, and detailed engineering of strategic projects and lay the foundation for our future success. We are looking for you to support our team in Hamburg as a Team Leader Mechanical Group Engineering.

As part of the Group Engineering Organization, you will be deployed to strategic projects supporting the basic and detailed engineering phase while managing projects in a legally secure manner regarding time, costs, and quality.:
- Lead a team of approximately ten mechanical project engineers, managing topics covering 10 to 20 percent of your working time., Ensure the best fit of resources for project needs and provide coaching and supervision as necessary., Be responsible for the basic and detailed equipment layout and design, aligning with relevant stakeholders., Optimize layout and design for process security and ease of operations and maintenance., Support project procurement in category management, critically review supplier offers, optimize RFx documents, and manage claims., Engage with suppliers to identify optimal solutions for strategic projects., Monitor all construction work and critically review project execution in preparation for the commissioning phase., Address disruptions in your area of responsibility to sustainably reduce disruption rates., Ensure adherence to operational instructions and regulations, including occupational safety, environmental protection, and the operation system., Assume a dedicated expert role and provide guidance for other strategic projects.

Qualifications:
- You have successfully completed a master's degree or diploma in mechanical engineering or comparable.
- You possess at least seven years of practical experience in related engineering or technology professions
- including experience as a project engineer or sub-project manager for major CapEx projects exceeding ten million euros
- ideally in an international engineering environment.
- You have a profound understanding of chemical or metallurgical production processes and requirements.
- Your English is business fluent
- and additional language skills in German
- Bulgarian
- or Dutch would be beneficial.
- You possess goal-driven and empathic leadership skills.
- As an excellent communicator
- you can present effectively in front of relevant stakeholders and external partners.
- You demonstrate strong teamwork skills and have an interest in new tasks and challenges
