Job Description:
We are seeking a passionate and driven master's student to contribute to groundbreaking research in the field of AI-based object detection and depth estimation, particularly focusing on pre-crash scenarios. This role involves leveraging the latest advancements in synthetic data generation and sensor data fusion to enhance the capabilities of driver assistance systems and highly automated driving. As the automotive industry evolves, the demand for sophisticated detection of diverse objects in the driving environment is paramount. You will engage in literature research to explore existing datasets and models, develop a sensor data fusion framework for accurate object recognition, and estimate distances using computer vision techniques. The position requires you to train and optimize machine learning models for effective object detection, create test cases for robust validation of methodologies, and define the limitations of your approach.
