Job Description:
The Fraunhofer Application Center for Connected Mobility and Infrastructure is dedicated to addressing current and future challenges related to automated and cooperative driving and flying. The center integrates diverse expertise in sensor technology, communication, and artificial intelligence, leveraging synergies with universities and local industries while fostering close collaborations with the city of Ingolstadt and its partners. Through research into urban air mobility, the center explores additional technology fields in autonomous systems, traffic digitalization, and vehicle and traffic safety. We are currently seeking exceptional students interested in writing their thesis in the fields of computer vision and deep learning. The thesis will focus on developing cutting-edge methods for monocular depth estimation, which will be utilized in the environmental perception of autonomous drones, making significant contributions to the advancement of this exciting field.

As a part of this project, you will engage in the development of advanced algorithms and models for depth estimation using monocular inputs.:
