Job Description:

As a Lead Data Platform Engineer, you will be responsible for the following::

    Mentor and guide the Data Platform Engineering team, encouraging professional development and a culture of continuous improvement, Design, implement, and enhance a robust data platform utilizing AWS, focusing on integrating various technologies for scalability and cost-efficiency, Collaborate closely with data science, analytics, and product teams to ensure platform capabilities align with business requirements, Proactively identify and resolve platform bottlenecks, implementing automated solutions to optimize performance, Create and maintain comprehensive documentation detailing platform architecture, processes, and best practices

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science
  • Information Technology
  • or a related field
  • Over ten years of experience in software engineering
  • with a minimum of three years in a leadership or senior technical role
  • Proven experience in designing and building scalable systems
  • including microservices
  • APIs
  • and distributed systems using languages such as Python or Rust
  • Strong proficiency in SQL and NoSQL databases
  • as well as data processing frameworks like Spark
  • Experience with major cloud platforms such as AWS
  • Azure
  • or GCP
  • and infrastructure management tools like Terraform or CloudFormation
  • Familiarity with advanced data tools and frameworks including Databricks
  • Snowflake
  • Airflow
  • and Airbyte
  • Outstanding problem-solving and communication abilities
  • capable of engaging effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
