To enhance our team at our main site in Planegg-Martinsried near Munich, we are seeking a Development Engineer for photonic integrated circuitry testing and packaging.

As a Development Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in the testing and packaging of photonic integrated circuits.:

Prototype thermal, electrical, and optical packaging solutions for optical chips, Establish infrastructure and processes for testing and packaging optical chips, Collaborate with team members in the realization of PIC-based light sources, including frequency combs and supercontinua

Qualifications:

• Completed university degree in optical engineering
• electrical engineering
• or physics
• Minimum of two years of professional experience as a development engineer in photonic integrated circuitry
• preferably in an industrial setting or through equivalent experience
• such as a PhD
• Proficiency and background in at least two of the following fields: photonic integrated circuitry
• packaging
• electronics
• mechanical design
• laser physics
• or photonics
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• demonstrating high initiative and persuasive abilities
• Proficient in both written and spoken English and German
