Job Description:

    We are an internationally recognized developer of high-quality biopharmaceutical medicines, particularly in the field of biosimilars. Our experienced team of approximately 240 skilled professionals covers the entire value chain of biosimilar drug development, from market analysis and target definition through protein analytics, process development, clinical trials, and regulatory approvals. We aim to provide access to vital and affordable medicines for patients with chronic diseases, especially in ophthalmology and immunology. We are looking for candidates for a full-time and permanent position based in Martinsried near Munich, to join our team as soon as possible.

In this pivotal role, you will enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness across the organization. Your responsibilities will include collaborating with teams, managing core operations, overseeing project delivery, and contributing to overall company strategy. Additionally, you will engage with and develop team members under your supervision.:

    Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify process inefficiencies and propose innovative solutions., Plan, lead, and execute business-critical improvement projects using Lean/DMAIC or similar methodologies., Develop and implement operational excellence strategies aligned with organizational goals., Calculate cost savings and assist in defining, establishing, and monitoring key performance indicators to track operational excellence initiatives., Design and execute training programs on operational excellence principles and techniques., Report on innovation project progress in monthly Continuous Improvement steering committee meetings., Take accountability for the Project Management Office organization and its ongoing activities., Assist project leaders and program directors in project operations, including preparing project plans and budgets., Coordinate with the finance teams to maintain financial data from operations., Oversee documentation and updating of processes to reflect best practices and compliance with regulations., Research and implement new technologies or methodologies to enhance operational efficiency.

Qualifications:

  • University degree in Engineering
  • Science
  • Business Administration
  • or a related field
  • or equivalent relevant experience.
  • At least ten years of experience in operations management or a related area
  • preferably in the pharmaceutical industry
  • with a proven track record in Project Management Office operations.
  • Certification as a Green Belt or above
  • with demonstrated experience in applying lean tools and/or Six Sigma methodologies in matrix organizations.
  • Certification as a Project Management Professional is advantageous.
