The successful candidate will be responsible for a variety of tasks aimed at optimizing manufacturing processes and enhancing productivity.:

    Collaborate with operating companies to enhance overall equipment efficiency through initiatives such as Single-Minute Exchange of Die and Total Productive Maintenance for both new and existing machinery., Contribute to corporate strategies aimed at improving productivity by internalizing expenditures related to new capital expenditures and maximizing machine utilization., Lead events focused on Single-Minute Exchange of Die and conduct site assessments of CNC technologies while managing site improvement projects., Support the maturity journey for the Machining Excellence Playbook in partnership with operating companies., Review and approve Process Failure Modes and Effects Analysis, Design Failure Modes and Effects Analysis, Production Part Approval Processes, and Standard Operating Procedures to ensure compliance., Utilize continuous improvement methodologies to enhance internal processes., Provide technical expertise and support for the deployment of new machining technologies aimed at boosting productivity., Drive machining strategies to enhance productivity by maximizing asset utilization., Assist in the evolution and acceptance evaluation of new equipment., Identify, recommend, procure, and install machine shop equipment while ensuring thorough maintenance and calibration., Evaluate workforce utilization, spatial needs, workflow, and design equipment layout for optimal efficiency., Manage multiple projects and priorities concurrently., Willingness to travel up to seventy percent, initially based in Germany and later supporting other locations across the UK, Italy, and other European sites.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical
  • electrical
  • or manufacturing engineering
  • industrial technology
  • or a related field.
  • At least five years of experience in manufacturing engineering with direct involvement in machining processes.
  • Proficient in setting up and operating advanced machining equipment.
  • Extensive background in machining and maintenance operations.
  • In-depth knowledge of standard machine shop manufacturing processes and setups.
  • Strong proficiency with SolidWorks or other mechanical CAD systems.
  • Highly experienced with various precision conventional and advanced metrology systems such as photogrammetry
  • CMMs
  • and 3D imaging.
  • Commitment to safety protocols in both design and practice.
  • Solid understanding of Lean manufacturing concepts.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with other departments.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks in a dynamic environment.
