Job Description:

    We are seeking a skilled Planning Engineer to join our team at the forefront of offshore wind engineering. This role involves delivering expert engineering solutions for the design, construction, and optimization of offshore wind structures. Our focus is on combining advanced engineering principles with innovative technologies to meet the dynamic demands of the offshore wind industry.

As a Planning Engineer, your responsibilities will include::

    Providing technical planning and support for offshore wind projects in both office and field settings, Conducting scouting trips and participating in offshore installations to monitor and support project execution, Developing and maintaining comprehensive project plans for offshore wind initiatives, Creating and implementing work preparations and technical concepts, Drafting technical and logistical procedures and method statements from conception to execution, Evaluating various solutions with respect to costs, timelines, and technical risks, Ensuring adherence to standards, regulations, and quality requirements in the offshore wind sector, Collaborating with internal departments and external partners to ensure successful project delivery, Preparing technical reports, documentation, and presentations, Reviewing calculations and technical documents to identify any missing or conflicting information relevant to the project, Assessing and managing technical risks and opportunities within projects, Monitoring project progress and initiating corrective actions as required

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering
  • preferably in offshore
  • renewable energy
  • naval architecture
  • or mechanical engineering
  • Minimum five years of experience in project planning and work preparation within the offshore wind sector
  • Comprehensive understanding of standards
  • regulations
  • and quality requirements in the offshore industry
  • especially in Europe
  • Proven experience in technical planning and execution of offshore projects
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; proficiency in German is a plus
  • Willingness to undertake scouting trips and occasional offshore deployments
  • Strong organizational skills and a structured work approach
  • Team-oriented with the ability to collaborate effectively with various stakeholders
  • Capability to identify and evaluate technical risks and opportunities in projects
  • Understanding of cost drivers and their impacts on overall project budgets
  • Proactive and solution-focused work ethic
