Job Description:

We are looking for a full-time Service Engineer to strengthen our field services in electronic testing. In this role, you will independently conduct commissioning and acceptance tests of sonar systems and echo sounders used globally in shipyards and at sea, primarily in Italy. You will also support our engineering teams in verifying software and utilizing appropriate measurement methodologies for various applications.

As a Service Engineer, you will be responsible for diverse technical tasks related to the commissioning and service of sonar systems.:

    Spend around seventy to eighty percent of your working hours in Italy, responsible for service tasks associated with orders and projects for Italian clients., Ensure the smooth execution of in-house commissioning and customer acceptance testing, including FAT, HAT, and SAT., Work alongside your colleagues based in Italy as a rapid response unit, providing immediate support for technical challenges and disruptions., Utilize your network to assist in sales activities in the Italian market, acquiring new customers and projects., Test and repair products and systems as needed., Independently create test and training documentation., Prepare and deliver customer training courses either in-house or at the client's site.

Qualifications:

  • Professional experience as a field service engineer for complex industrial plants and systems
  • ideally in the naval industry.
  • Maintain a strong network within the maritime industry and the Navy in Italy.
  • Enthusiastic about new technologies and eager to learn how to integrate them into your work.
  • Willingness to travel regularly for business and to frequent our headquarters in Kiel
  • Germany.
