We seek a Senior Software Engineer with SRE skills and a strong understanding of database internals to enhance our resilient, performant, and secure database platform. You will play a key role in building and operating this platform as we work towards our vision.

The Opportunity::

Design and maintain high-quality software systems that allow the database platform to scale alongside company growth and customer needs, Utilize monitoring tools and systematic debugging methods to preemptively identify and resolve issues, Contribute to the team's roadmap and technical decision-making through quality proposals and constructive feedback, Collaborate and document knowledge sharing through written materials such as RFCs, runbooks, and architecture diagrams, Identify and advocate for process improvements within the team, Promote a collaborative culture where team members learn from mistakes, Participate in a global on-call rotation and ensure preparedness of other engineers for on-call duties

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in developing and managing services using languages such as Go or Rust
• In-depth knowledge of database internals including indexing

• with experience in MongoDB and PostgreSQL
• Extensive experience with Kubernetes and cloud platforms like GCP
• AWS
• or Azure
• Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code tools like Terraform
• Crossplane
• or Pulumi
• Understanding of SRE principles including monitoring
• alerting
• SLOs
• and incident response
• Proven track record of conducting high-quality code reviews and mentoring team members
• Excellent communication skills and ability to thrive in a distributed team environment
• Fluency in written and spoken English
