Job Description:

As a System Engineer, your responsibilities will include::

    Planning, installation, and management of ORBIS environments throughout all phases of the software lifecycle, from initial setup to decommissioning, Performing operational and maintenance activities for environments, including updates, upgrades, software installations, health checks, monitoring, and archiving, Monitoring infrastructure to proactively solve problems and ensure the availability of all environments and services, Analyzing update logs and managing defects related to software updates, Packaging ORBIS software deliveries and conducting technical checks to ensure quality and compliance, Supporting internal customers in development, quality assurance, and other departments using our systems and services, Automating workflows in collaboration with tooling developers, Onboarding new software into our test environment landscape in partnership with testers, product owners, and developers

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in computer science or a related field
  • Experience in a service-oriented IT environment
  • Over five years of technical IT experience in software administration and operation
  • Proficient in scripting languages such as PowerShell and bash
  • Linux operating systems
  • Ansible
  • Docker
  • Kubernetes
  • and cloud infrastructure providers like AWS
  • Azure
  • and GCP
  • Strong interest in improving efficiency and automation of workflows
  • Ability to quickly grasp the relationships between entities
  • their dependencies
  • and the impact on infrastructure
  • Familiarity with GIT
  • Jenkins
  • JIRA
  • Terraform
  • and Wildfly is a plus
  • Detail-oriented with a commitment to high-quality work
  • Excellent self-organization skills and capability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Customer-focused and service-oriented
  • Fluent in English
