System Security Specialist

Job Description:

    We are seeking a skilled System Security Specialist to join a dynamic team in Hamburg, Germany. In this role, you will be instrumental in enhancing the security framework of our cutting-edge NACOS Platinum Navigation systems. As part of the Research and Development team, you will collaborate on various projects aimed at ensuring the safety and efficiency of maritime operations. Your initial focus will be on a shipbuilding project, where you will assess, design, and implement robust security measures to protect critical infrastructure. Subsequently, your responsibilities will expand to encompass ongoing development and governance of the NACOS platform infrastructure. This role requires close cooperation with diverse teams, including Product Management, Navigation R&D, Service, Engineering, and customers within an international landscape. This position offers a hybrid work model, allowing for flexibility with both remote and onsite work from our innovative Hamburg office.

As a System Security Specialist, you will play a crucial role in identifying and mitigating security threats, ensuring the integrity of our systems and networks.:

    Proactively identify potential security threats and vulnerabilities within the NACOS product family, Advise stakeholders on the procurement and maintenance of secure hardware and software, Collaborate with internal teams to assess and improve the cybersecurity posture of delivered OT systems, Support network and cyber-related testing of the NACOS platform, Contribute to the development of security procedures and best practices

Spoken Languages:

  • English, German

Skillset:

  • Extensive knowledge of networking protocols and configurations
  • Strong analytical skills in assessing system vulnerabilities
  • Excellent communication skills in English
  • both written and verbal
  • Ability to obtain a security clearance at the confidential level
  • High ethical standards and a commitment to confidentiality

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Cybersecurity
  • Computer Science
  • Engineering
  • or a related field
  • Several years of experience in the Operation Technology domain
  • Proven track record in designing and managing cyber secure systems and networks
  • Strong understanding of industrial control systems and their security needs
