Job Description:
- Indiana State University is on the lookout for a dedicated IT Security Engineer to join their Office of Information Technology team. This pivotal role involves ensuring the security of the university's information technology systems through effective implementation and ongoing maintenance of security protocols. As an IT Security Engineer, you will provide valuable technical expertise and serve as the go-to security subject matter expert, articulating security needs and requirements to various stakeholders across the university. Your role will be integral in applying a broad range of IT security knowledge to design and maintain systems that protect sensitive university data while fostering an open and collaborative environment characteristic of a public university. Reporting directly to the Chief Information Security Officer, you may also supervise students and work closely with System Integrators, Network Engineers, System Analysts, and Enterprise Services Consultants. A key focus of this position will be the thorough analysis of existing systems to ensure that the university's information is safeguarded appropriately.

The IT Security Engineer will be responsible for a variety of key tasks aimed at enhancing the security posture of the university's IT infrastructure.:
