Job Description:

As a key player in our municipal waste management operation, you will take on the critical role of analyzing and interpreting complex datasets to support our mission of sustainable waste management and resource recovery. Your expertise will help transform raw data into meaningful insights that drive decisions and strategies aimed at optimizing our operational efficiency and enhancing our service delivery to the city of Dortmund. You will be responsible for ensuring data integrity, developing comprehensive reports and dashboards for management, and conducting trend analyses to forecast waste flows and inform future business strategies. Your work will contribute to our overarching goal of creating a circular economy where waste is minimized and materials are efficiently reused.

You will undertake various responsibilities that are integral to our data-driven decision-making processes.:

Conduct in-depth analysis and validation of business data, collaborating closely with department heads to produce informative reports, visualizations, and key performance indicators related to our waste streams., Design and produce reports and dashboards for executive management and committee meetings, as well as assist in drafting the economic plan and forecasts., Create forecasts and evaluate trends in waste quantities to support strategic business planning., Maintain and archive data, tables, and diagrams to ensure a reliable data foundation for strategic decisions., Provide analyses and reports that serve as a basis for progressive business strategies and contribute to long-term planning., Ensure compliance with reporting requirements to the city of Dortmund and adherence to regulatory standards.

Spoken Languages:

• German, English

Skillset:

• Proficiency in Excel and familiarity with Business Intelligence tools such as QlikView/QlikSense or PowerBI
• Attention to detail and strong analytical skills
• Experience in waste management is a plus
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
• Motivated to develop sustainable solutions and contribute to business development

Qualifications:

• University degree in Statistics
• Mathematics
• Economics
• IT
• or a related field
• Equivalent qualification through a completed vocational training in a commercial area
• Proven experience in data analysis and reporting
