Head of Operational Excellence and Project Management Office

Job Description:

    We are an independent developer of high-quality biopharmaceutical medicines, especially biosimilars. Our experienced team of highly skilled professionals spans the entire value chain of biosimilar drug development, from market analysis and target definition through to clinical trials and regulatory approval processes. Our focus is on treatments in ophthalmology and immunology as well as other key chronic diseases, contributing to providing patients with access to vital and affordable medicines. We are looking for suitable candidates for this full-time and permanent position, to begin work as soon as possible.

In this role, you will enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness, managing core operations, overseeing project delivery, and contributing to company strategy while developing team members.:

    Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify process bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and areas for cost reduction, proposing innovative solutions., Plan, lead, and execute business-critical improvement projects using Lean/DMAIC approaches or similar methodologies to ensure successful outcomes., Develop and implement operational excellence strategies aligned with organizational goals, integrating them with business processes and systems., Calculate cost savings and assist the team in defining, establishing, and monitoring key performance indicators to track progress and impact of operational excellence initiatives., Design and execute training programs for staff on operational excellence principles and tools., Report on the progress of innovation projects in monthly Continuous Improvement steering committee meetings., Accountable for the Project Management Office organization and its ongoing activities., Assist Project Leaders and Program Directors in project operations as needed, including preparing project plans and budgets., Coordinate with the Project Controller and Finance teams to manage financial data from Operations., Oversee documentation and updating of processes to reflect best practices and compliance with regulations., Research and implement new technologies or methodologies to enhance operational efficiency.

Qualifications:

  • A university degree in Engineering
  • Science
  • Business Administration or related fields
  • or equivalent relevant experience
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in operations management or a related area
  • preferably within the pharmaceutical industry with a proven track record in Project Management Office operations
  • Certification as a Green Belt or above
  • with demonstrated experience in implementing lean tools and/or Six Sigma methodologies in matrix organizations
  • Certification as Project Management Professional is considered advantageous
  • Strong communication
