Job Description:

Are you passionate about working with physical servers and have a strong proficiency in Linux? We are looking for a skilled DevOps Engineer to join our team in Karlsruhe. In this role, you will be responsible for the operation and enhancement of our data center infrastructure, focusing on high availability, security, and scalability. You will automate deployment processes, monitoring, and management using tools such as Ansible, Terraform, and GIT. Additionally, you will manage and oversee servers, networks, storage systems, and databases within the data center, ensuring IT security and compliance by implementing and monitoring security measures. Your role will also involve analyzing and resolving disruptions, optimizing performance, and collaborating with development teams to integrate new applications and services into our existing infrastructure. As part of your responsibilities, you will implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines to support agile software development and may occasionally be on call for emergencies.

As a DevOps Engineer, your primary responsibilities will encompass the following tasks::

Operate and further develop data center infrastructure with a focus on high availability, security, and scalability, Automate deployment, monitoring, and management processes using tools like Ansible and Terraform, Manage and monitor servers, networks, storage systems, and databases within the data center, Ensure IT security and compliance by implementing and monitoring security measures, Analyze and resolve incidents while conducting performance optimizations, Collaborate with development teams to integrate new applications and services into existing infrastructure, Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines to support agile software development, Be available for on-call duties as needed

Qualifications:

• Experience with automation tools like Ansible
• Proficient in Linux systems
• Familiarity with container technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes

• Experience with monitoring and logging tools like Prometheus

• Knowledge of network technologies

• Strong awareness of security practices and experience with IT security measures
