Junior Data Scientist

Job Description:

    As part of the Data Science team, you will play a crucial role in transforming Lidl into a data-driven and AI-enabled organization. Collaborating closely with various departments, you will drive forward innovative AI applications that provide real business value. Your work will involve engaging with colleagues both locally and globally to build decentralized data and analytics capabilities, as well as enhance international synergies. You will be tasked with identifying and developing solutions to complex problems where data science can significantly impact Lidl's financial performance. This includes cleansing and linking relevant data sources to serve as a foundation for further analyses. You will utilize state-of-the-art algorithms during the proof-of-concept phase to optimize different business processes. Once a project has been technically validated, you will work alongside departments to demonstrate the financial benefits of the models in practice. Transitioning projects into operational use will often involve collaboration with IT colleagues. You will participate in interdisciplinary, agile teams throughout all project phases and regularly present new findings to stakeholders and management.
