Functional Analyst - Ground Operations

Job Description:

Our Ground Operations team is on an exciting journey to unify our operations across Europe, creating a cohesive organization that promotes best practices and efficiency. As a Functional Analyst, you will serve as a vital link between TUI Airline Ground Operations and our Airline IT department, ensuring that our airport customer service, on-time performance, and ancillary sales operations are optimized through effective IT systems. Your expertise will be crucial in analyzing business requirements, translating them into actionable insights, and implementing necessary changes to enhance system performance. You will also play a key role in training users, managing functional testing, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. This position offers a hybrid working model, allowing you to split your time between our offices in Luton, Zaventem, Rijswijk, Hannover, or Stockholm, with some travel requirements as well. As a Functional Analyst, your responsibilities will include a range of critical tasks to ensure the successful integration and operation of our Ground Operations IT systems.:

    Act as the primary liaison between TUI Airline Ground Operations and Airline IT to analyze and evaluate business requirements for IT systems;; Translate business needs into functional and technical specifications for IT development teams;; Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and optimal service delivery through effective testing and quality assurance processes;; Manage the testing lifecycle of airport systems, prioritizing issues based on business impact and monitoring resolution progress;; Project manage the deployment of new systems and software, coordinating with stakeholders to ensure smooth implementation;; Provide expert support and training for internal and external users on airport IT systems, including check-in and weight and balance functionalities;; Conduct thorough analysis of airport IT infrastructure to assess compatibility with existing systems and software;; Maintain accurate documentation related to Ground Operations Manuals and Internal Procedures to reflect current system functionalities;; Evaluate the impact of software updates and new third-party systems, making recommendations for improvements;; Identify opportunities for innovation in airport IT systems to enhance overall customer experience;; Participate in on-call emergency response rosters as required and undertake additional projects as needed

  • Expertise in Departure Control Systems and Ground Handling systems
  • Experience in delivering training to users
