Job Description:

    We are on the lookout for a passionate and skilled Quality Assurance Automation Engineer to join our dynamic team in Hengelo, Netherlands. In this role, you will take charge of designing, implementing, and executing a comprehensive suite of manual and automated tests tailored for IT and operational technology infrastructure components. You will be operating in an Agile environment, utilizing Scrum methodologies alongside Test-Driven Development (TDD) and Behavior-Driven Development (BDD) practices. As a Quality Assurance Automation Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and performance of our software products through rigorous testing and automation.:

    Design and implement comprehensive test strategies for IT and OT infrastructure components;; Execute manual and automated tests, ensuring adherence to quality standards;; Collaborate with development teams to understand software requirements and design effective test cases;; Utilize automation tools to enhance testing efficiency and coverage;; Participate in Agile ceremonies, contributing to continuous improvement initiatives;; Document testing processes and results, providing clear communication to stakeholders;; Identify and report defects, working closely with development teams to resolve issues

Qualifications:

  • At least three years of experience as a QA automation engineer
  • Strong knowledge of automation software tools, especially Cucumber
  • Proficiency in Behavior-Driven Development and Test-Driven Development
  • Hands-on experience writing feature files and glue code in Cucumber
  • Experience in software development using Java
  • Familiarity with Git-based source control systems and CI/CD pipelines
  • Experience with container technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes
  • Hands-on experience with infrastructure as code tools like Ansible
  • Strong understanding of Agile methodologies and tools such as Jira
  • Experience with the complete software development lifecycle, including designing test plans and executing tests
