Your primary focus will be on proactively addressing security incidents and attacks, ensuring the safety and reliability of our platform, which serves over twenty million users. You will maintain critical backend services that drive user login, registration, and account management, recognizing that any downtime directly impacts our platform's functionality. Collaboration is key, as you will be part of a large community of engineers and stakeholders working together to transition our platform from a business social network to a jobs network. As we prepare for migration to AWS, your expertise will be vital in enabling this transition. This position offers the chance to work on both product and security fronts, helping to fortify our platform against illicit activities while enhancing user experience.

As a Software Engineer Backend, your responsibilities will encompass a variety of tasks aimed at enhancing the security and functionality of our platform. You will be tasked with designing robust backend systems, developing new features, and ensuring the integrity of our services.:

Extend feature sets and endpoints for our jobs network;; Mitigate security incidents and enhance user account protection;; Maintain backend services for user management and authentication;; Collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders;; Assist in migrating backend services to AWS cloud;; Implement security measures such as captchas and rate limiting;; Monitor and alert for suspicious activities on the platform
