Job Description:
- The Fraunhofer Institute for Communication, Information Processing, and Ergonomics FKIE conducts cutting-edge research on leadership and information systems. With a dedicated team of around 500 employees, we offer challenging and varied tasks with responsibility and creative freedom. Within the Human-Machine Systems department, interdisciplinary teams, including experts in computer science, engineering, and psychology, develop concepts, methods, and tools for human-centered design of human-machine systems. Our research focuses on innovative design and interaction paradigms for mobile and immersive interfaces, including virtual, augmented, and mixed reality. Key areas of research include natural interaction methods such as gesture, speech, and gaze control, navigation in virtual environments, game-based learning, intelligent virtual agents, and interaction with autonomous systems. We are currently seeking an intern to join our team in Bonn, who will contribute creative ideas to the design of human-machine interfaces and assist in the concept development of user studies to evaluate user interfaces. This role involves supporting the preparation, execution, and analysis of user studies to test innovative technologies.
