Senior Technology Manager – Power Electronics
Job Description:
- A leading company has opened a new position for a Senior Technology Manager specializing in Power Electronics. This role is flexible across Germany, with primary locations in Bonn and Aachen. The main responsibility is to develop and implement advanced technology projects utilizing German and European government funding, collaborating with both internal and external stakeholders. The successful candidate will work closely with a team of scientists and engineers in the Power Electronics Technologies Department, providing strategic leadership and coaching. This position will also facilitate communication and cooperation between various Eaton locations globally.

The principal responsibilities for this role include::
- Developing research proposals and securing government funding for advancements in Power Electronics relevant to the organization, while maintaining relationships with the external technical community., Creating technology roadmaps and strategies focused on the European region, managing relationships with various stakeholders, and championing technology realization., Executing projects using internal project control processes and providing leadership through guidance, coaching, and the development of technical staff., Reporting to the VP Engineering & Technology EMEA and functioning under the Global Technology Manager.

Qualifications:
- PhD or MSc degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field
- At least seven years of industrial experience in power and energy systems
- Strong R&D experience in power electronics

- Proven track record in developing and executing government-funded projects in power and energy systems
- Experience managing power electronics lab and experimental infrastructure
- Solid program management and new product development experience

- Business acumen with a history of formulating value propositions
- Excellent communication and presentation skills in English and German
