Job Description:

    We are an internationally successful company specializing in cross-platform Earth Observation-based geoinformation solutions and the development of innovative GIS and database applications. We are seeking a Technical Project Manager to join our team in Munich, focusing on geospatial data analytics. Our work supports authorities, companies, and academic research worldwide, providing critical thematic and statistical information. We process large volumes of satellite data using advanced analytical methods in cloud infrastructures, enabling the creation of essential land cover products as part of the EU's Copernicus program.

The Technical Project Manager will oversee the following responsibilities::

    Ensure that all technical and technological conditions and workflows necessary for Earth Observation data analysis are established within set time and budget constraints, Coordinate a project team consisting of up to five data scientists, data engineers, or software developers, Act as the interface between project management, project staff, and clients concerning technical matters, Make decisions regarding technologies and workflows

Skillset:

  • Project management skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Experience with cloud computing and data processing frameworks
  • Knowledge of geospatial data analysis techniques

Qualifications:

  • A master's degree in Science or Engineering

  • At least five years of professional experience in developing methods and software for exploring geographic raster and vector data
  • Professional experience in team management

  • In-depth knowledge of remote sensing and geodata
  • Extensive experience processing remote sensing data with Python
  • Familiarity with machine learning and deep learning methods for regression analysis
