Job Description:
- Join a leading research facility in Darmstadt, which operates one of the foremost particle accelerators in the world. Be a part of the groundbreaking FAIR project, a large-scale international collaboration aimed at advancing scientific knowledge. The Vacuum Systems department is critical for maintaining and operating existing accelerator vacuum systems, while also designing and implementing systems for the future FAIR accelerators. We are looking for qualified candidates to contribute to this innovative project.

As an Engineer or Physicist, your responsibilities will include the following tasks::
- Design various accelerator vacuum systems for the FAIR project, including defining necessary hardware components, Establish required specifications and prepare tender documents, Coordinate and oversee the procurement process, Define test scenarios and equipment for pre-assembly and assembly phases, Provide technical support during quality inspections, Develop and monitor time schedules and financial profiles for the FAIR project, Outline installation and commissioning scenarios, Install and commission the accelerator vacuum systems, Communicate and coordinate with national and international partners in research and industry

Qualifications:
- Master of Science in Physics or Master of Engineering in Physical Technology

- Proficiency in general computer skills

- Strong team spirit and adaptability
- Excellent command of English
