As a Data Engineer, you'll be part of an agile data infrastructure team responsible for the data platform and the company-wide provision of data. If you are fascinated by data and its potential impact on business decisions, you are the right fit. We aim to improve our company daily through automated pipelines and data-driven solutions. Join us to elevate our infrastructure and experience progress firsthand. You'll collaborate with nearly 100 motivated colleagues from analytical fields such as BI, Data Science, Risk, and IT.:

Develop and enhance the data platform using Snowflake, Confluent Kafka, and Databricks, taking responsibility for the architecture of the data platform and the data warehouse, as well as managing data flows between components, Contribute to the development of a Data Mesh architecture, Continuously work on the automation and optimization of technical processes, ensuring efficiency and scalability in ELT/ETL pipelines and data platform administration, Build data protection-compliant end-to-end processes, from connecting data sources to creating process monitoring, Implement best practices in data and software engineering while supporting the data teams, Enhance process stability and data quality

Qualifications:

• A completed degree in computer science
• natural sciences

• Solid professional experience in data engineering

• and messaging/streaming technologies. Practical knowledge of Snowflake
• Databricks
• and/or Confluent Kafka is an advantage
• Extensive experience in software development using Python
• Familiarity with CI/CD practices
• DevOps culture
• and Infrastructure as Code
• specifically Terraform. Containers should not just be associated with shipping for you
• Ideally
• deep knowledge and practical experience with AWS cloud
• Good skills in both German and English
