Job Description:

    As a Supplier Quality Engineer based in Mannheim, you will play a vital role in identifying, coaching, and managing suppliers in alignment with our quality standards and policies. Your expertise will be essential in providing guidance and training on quality protocols, conducting audits, and ensuring compliance with organizational and governmental standards. You will also be responsible for resolving supplier issues related to quality, performance, and service levels, as well as identifying and certifying alternative suppliers to prevent supply disruptions. Key responsibilities include supporting supplier qualification processes and ensuring compliance with quality standards.:

    Assist category teams and local supply chain management teams in the supplier qualification process by evaluating suppliers, issuing and reviewing qualification assessment forms, conducting onsite visits and audits, and recommending appropriate qualification levels, Plan and conduct remote and onsite supplier audits, including reporting findings and ensuring effective closure of audit findings by the supplier, Monitor and report high-impact supplier nonconformances, driving resolution through root cause analysis and ensuring implementation of process controls to prevent recurrence, Develop and support suppliers to meet quality requirements and promote continual improvement, Monitor supplier delivery and quality performance through key performance indicators

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering
  • Electrical Engineering
  • or a related technical field
  • At least three years of professional experience in supplier quality management
  • Experience in supplier development is advantageous
  • Familiarity with Process Improvement and Continuous Improvement methodologies such as Kaizen
  • DMAIC
  • and RCA; Green Belt Certification is a plus
  • Proficiency in both German and English

  • Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with suppliers

  • Willingness to travel at least 25% of the time
