Description

Hardware Product Owner

Job Description:

Are you genuinely passionate about technology and eager to work in an international environment that fosters innovation and collaboration? Do you prefer being part of a smaller company with short decision-making paths, while still enjoying the security of backing from a large, stable corporation? If so, this could be the perfect opportunity for you. In the role of Hardware Product Owner, you will engage in the daily development process, acting as a decision support and requester to the R&D team while taking overall responsibility for the company's physical products. You will closely collaborate with the development team as the product owner's extended arm. Your primary responsibility will be to own and ensure the product's functionality, quality, production, and execution from a requestor's perspective. Furthermore, you will be expected to transform high-level visions into manageable products, create specifications, detailed requirements, and write user stories. You will work closely with various stakeholders in the organization, including R&D, supply chain, and scrum teams, ensuring they have the accurate information and assisting with prioritizations in the development process. The role will also involve interaction with external customers to gather information that will be translated into hardware specifications for the development team. Additionally, you will be expected to present the company's products to customers and conduct brief training sessions. In this role, you will actively engage in the industrialization of our products, which includes close collaboration with our factories and suppliers, where you will be responsible for certifications and standards concerning our product specifications. You will also initiate cost-reduction activities when possible and analyze production costs, as well as participate in the selection and sourcing of components. At our company, you will be welcomed into a fast-paced environment with a startup mentality while being part of the stable lighting corporation Fagerhult Group. You will have the opportunity to work in an international setting with numerous touchpoints and play a crucial role in the company's continued growth journey. This position is ideal for those who wish to work broadly in a smaller team, combining both operational and strategic elements with a forward-thinking approach. You will report to the Product Manager.
