Job Description:

    The Fraunhofer Application Center for Connected Mobility and Infrastructure is dedicated to addressing pressing and future-oriented questions related to automated and cooperative driving and flying. This innovative center consolidates diverse competencies in the fields of sensor technology, communication, and artificial intelligence. It leverages synergies with universities and local industries, while fostering close collaborations with the city of Ingolstadt and its partners. As part of our research into urban air mobility, we are exploring additional technological domains in autonomous systems, traffic digitization, and vehicle safety. In the context of your master's thesis, you will actively contribute to the project focused on instance segmentation using hyperspectral and infrared cameras for urban air mobility. You will support our dynamic team in the development of algorithms aimed at state-of-the-art 3D environment perception for autonomous systems using physics-informed artificial intelligence.
