The responsibilities of the Junior Information Security Analyst encompass a wide range of tasks aimed at enhancing the security posture of the organization’s cloud services.:

    Implement security measures for cloud environments to safeguard systems and data.;; Assist in developing and maintaining comprehensive security documentation to ensure compliance with federal regulations.;; Conduct security assessments and vulnerability scans for cloud-based services, remediating identified vulnerabilities.;; Collaborate with the Cloud Services team to maintain security controls across all environments.;; Support the Assessment and Authorization (A&A) process for cloud services, including the creation of Authority to Operate (ATO) documentation.;; Develop and enforce security policies and procedures, monitoring compliance across various departments.;; Provide input on cloud architecture security to align with strategic goals.;; Assist the security operations team in monitoring and responding to potential security incidents.;; Engage with end-users to gather specific security requirements for their departments.;; Support automation of security tasks by integrating security configurations and compliance checks.

  • Basic knowledge of cloud environments such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud, along with cloud security practices.
  • Familiarity with federal regulations, specifically NIST and FIPS standards.
