Job Description:

    We are seeking a motivated and skilled Data Scientist I to join our dynamic Global Intelligence team, specifically focusing on the DragonFly brand. In this full-time, permanent position, you will work remotely from anywhere in the United States, with the option to visit our Washington D.C. office if desired. As a Data Scientist, you will play a crucial role in data science and analysis, contributing to innovative projects that enhance our capabilities in delivering intelligence and analysis products to a diverse global client base. Your expertise will help shape our research and editorial work while enabling us to achieve greater automation and operational efficiency. The ideal candidate will be proactive, eager to learn, and capable of collaborating effectively with both technical and non-technical colleagues to drive successful outcomes in data projects.

As a Data Scientist I, you will be responsible for a variety of tasks that include identifying and managing data feeds, developing tools for analysis, and collaborating with various teams.:

    Identify, analyze, and manage data and information feeds to meet intelligence requirements;; Utilize programming tools such as Python, SQL, and R for data scraping, querying databases, and automation;; Automate the processing of external data to support custom-built databases and dashboards;; Design and maintain visual tools for internal analysis and external presentations;; Develop machine learning tools for trend identification and forecasting;; Collaborate with marketing and commercial teams on proactive initiatives;; Work closely with product managers and technical teams on relevant projects;; Promote best practices in data-driven research and intelligence gathering;; Establish and oversee data automation and visualization strategies
