Cyber Security Specialist

Job Description:

    We are seeking a highly skilled Cyber Security Specialist to join our team. This position is crucial for ensuring the security and integrity of our clients' systems. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in cybersecurity, particularly in operational accreditation and certification of embedded systems. You will be responsible for evaluating system architecture from a cybersecurity perspective, translating military operational requirements into practical systems concepts, and preparing cybersecurity-related test plans and procedures. Your role will involve coordinating cybersecurity integration across the entire system life-cycle, reviewing system performance against cybersecurity requirements, and assisting with policy and compliance issues. You will also manage incident coordination with local Network Enterprise Centers and participate in organizational inspections to ensure regulatory compliance. This role requires a proactive approach to identifying vulnerabilities and threats to IT systems, along with a commitment to mentoring other team members on cybersecurity matters.

The responsibilities of the Cyber Security Specialist include leading efforts on assigned programs, preparing documentation for IA approval, and assisting with the implementation of the DOD Risk Management Framework. You will evaluate system designs, translate operational requirements, and prepare test plans to ensure compliance with cybersecurity standards.:

    Conduct top-level system architecture design and development;; Prepare and review cybersecurity-related documentation;; Coordinate integration of cybersecurity into system life-cycle design;; Evaluate system performance against cybersecurity requirements;; Assist with acquisition documents related to cybersecurity;; Implement DOD Risk Management Framework and assist ISSM;; Conduct risk assessments and vulnerability analyses;; Manage incident coordination with Network Enterprise Centers
