Data Analyst I

Job Description:

    As a Data Analyst I, you will play a crucial role in the Workforce Solutions program by developing and maintaining effective database queries and reporting applications. Your expertise will be essential in documenting various reports, processes, and procedures related to reporting design. You will be responsible for creating ad-hoc SQL queries and generating reports using R&R Report Writer for management needs on an as-needed basis. It is critical for you to ensure that all reporting tools meet the goals and concerns of all stakeholders, including management and other departments within the Workforce Solutions system. Your analytical skills will be put to use in identifying and documenting opportunities for process improvements, along with creating relevant reports and data tools to leverage these opportunities. Additionally, you will produce customer service and billing reports for distribution to the appropriate office staff, and evaluate new data tools for potential implementation by office personnel. While handling various interpersonal conflicts or time-sensitive demands, maintaining a mature problem-solving attitude is essential. You will represent the agency professionally to career office operators, the Gulf Coast Workforce Board, and staff from the Houston Galveston Area Council. Supporting the department's compliance functions with adequate reporting is also a key part of your role, as is taking immediate action to address and resolve any customer or vendor complaints effectively.
