Data Engineer - Remote

Job Description:

    We are seeking a skilled Data Engineer to join our team remotely for a consulting project starting in October and concluding in March. This role is an exciting opportunity to contribute to one of the largest data transformation initiatives in the industry. As a Data Engineer, your primary focus will be on developing data products that align with the Data Mesh framework, ensuring that all solutions meet our established vision and requirements. You will play a crucial role in creating and maintaining data-intensive solutions that empower a data-driven organization. In this position, you will be part of the Data Engineering Competence area within the AI, Analytics, and Data Domain, collaborating as an individual contributor within a dedicated data product team. Your work will support various global brands, ensuring that data is structured, secured, and readily available while maintaining high quality and comprehension.

As a Data Engineer, you will be responsible for a variety of tasks that are crucial to the success of our data initiatives.:

    Develop and implement robust data pipelines to support data consumption and analytics;; Work collaboratively within a cross-functional agile team, including engineers, data scientists, and business stakeholders;; Ensure data availability and quality across all platforms, enabling effective data-driven decision-making;; Contribute to the design and architecture of data systems that facilitate the integration of AI and machine learning solutions;; Continuously monitor and optimize data workflows to improve performance and reliability

Qualifications:

  • Ability to take full responsibility for designing, developing, and maintaining large-scale data infrastructure for machine learning projects
  • Understanding of DevOps principles to manage CI/CD pipelines and Terraform, particularly in a Google Cloud Platform (GCP) context
  • Knowledge of software architecture and design patterns to write scalable and maintainable code
