Junior Data Scientist

Job Description:

    As a member of the Data Science Team, you will play a vital role in transforming Lidl into a data-driven and AI-enabled enterprise. Collaborating closely with various departments, you will work on innovative AI applications that drive business advancements. Your responsibilities will involve understanding and addressing complex business challenges where Data Science can provide significant financial benefits. You will cleanse and merge relevant data sources, laying the groundwork for further analyses. In the Proof-of-Concept phase, you will utilize state-of-the-art algorithms to optimize diverse business processes. Once a project has been technically validated, you will collaborate with stakeholders to demonstrate the practical financial impact of the models. Additionally, you will transition projects into operational phases, often working alongside IT colleagues. Engaging in interdisciplinary, agile teams throughout all project phases, you will regularly present new findings to stakeholders and management, ensuring that your insights are effectively communicated and understood.

The primary responsibilities include collaborating with departments to identify problems where Data Science can add real financial value, cleansing and merging data sources for analysis, employing advanced algorithms during the Proof-of-Concept phase, and demonstrating financial benefits of validated projects.:

    Work with various departments to pinpoint areas for Data Science application.;; Clean and integrate relevant data sources for further analysis.;; Apply modern algorithms to optimize business processes during the Proof-of-Concept stage.;; Collaborate with stakeholders to prove the financial impact of models in practice.;; Transition projects into operational status with the IT team.;; Participate in interdisciplinary agile teams throughout project phases.;; Present findings regularly to stakeholders and management.
