Junior Data Scientist

Job Description:

    As a Junior Data Scientist, you will play a crucial role in transforming Lidl into a data-driven and AI-enabled organization. Working closely with various departments, you will help drive innovative AI applications that deliver real business value. Your responsibilities will include collaborating with stakeholders to identify problems where data science can provide significant financial benefits. You will also be tasked with cleaning and linking relevant data sources to lay the groundwork for further analysis. Utilizing state-of-the-art algorithms during the Proof-of-Concept phase, you will optimize various business processes. Once a project has been technically validated, you will work alongside departments to demonstrate the practical financial impact of the models. You will also be responsible for transitioning projects into operational phases, typically in collaboration with IT colleagues. Throughout the project lifecycle, you will work in interdisciplinary, agile teams and regularly present new findings to stakeholders and management.

    Identify and analyze business problems where data science can provide financial value.;; Clean and merge relevant data sources for analysis.;; Apply modern algorithms to optimize business processes during Proof-of-Concept phases.;; Demonstrate the financial impact of validated models in collaboration with business areas.;; Transition successful projects into operational phases alongside IT colleagues.;; Contribute to interdisciplinary agile teams throughout all project phases.;; Present new results regularly to stakeholders and management.
