Key Responsibilities:

Drive innovation by challenging conventional methods and introducing transformative initiatives to enhance search capabilities, Enhance software systems to achieve superior performance by leveraging the latest advancements in search technologies, Guide cross-functional teams in developing and refining search algorithms, indexing strategies, and relevance tuning through hands-on coaching, Ensure robust search performance, scalability, and reliability to support millions of merchants, Collaborate with data science and analytics teams to incorporate machine learning and natural language processing techniques, Partner with other technical leaders to establish and pursue high-level technical goals aimed at a scalable and extensible platform, Facilitate a positive developer experience to maximize the impact of our solutions across the organization, Engage in community contributions related to engineering excellence, quality craft, and initiatives that reinforce our status as an industry leader, Initiate new platform investments through research, development, and strategic exploration, Mentor and develop engineering leaders, contributing to a healthy and impactful team culture

Qualifications:

• Expertise in relevance engineering and a strong understanding of search and recommendation systems including Elasticsearch

• Ability to effectively collaborate with senior technical leaders and foster trust across multiple organizations and teams
• Experience contributing to open-source communities and/or collaborating with cloud service providers
• Willingness to engage directly with the codebase and influence through prototyping and development
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
