Job Description:
- As a Backend Engineer in our Connectivity Unit, you will play a crucial role in shaping the future of our metasearch engine, which allows millions of travelers to find their ideal hotel with ease. You will work on challenging projects related to data collection from diverse sources, consolidating this information, and delivering high-quality content to enhance user experience. Utilizing modern technologies such as serverless architecture, data batch processing, and stream processing, you will contribute to significant advancements in the travel industry.

Key Responsibilities::
- Join the Connectivity Unit and actively contribute to a product used by millions daily, Design and implement data pipelines on GCP capable of managing billions of events using technologies like Cloud Functions, Apache Beam, and Kubernetes, Take ownership of projects and provide innovative ideas to deliver the most relevant data to users for informed hotel booking decisions, Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business requirements into impactful technical solutions, Act as a technology ambassador, sharing knowledge and insights with colleagues through peer exchanges and meetings

Qualifications:
- Minimum of three years programming experience in Java
- Strong grasp of the Spring framework
- Experience in developing cloud applications
- preferably in AWS or GCP
- Proficient in building scalable and distributed data pipelines on the cloud
- Deep understanding of relational databases such as PostgreSQL and MySQL
- Familiarity with non-relational databases
- Knowledge of software development methodologies like TDD and principles such as SOLID
- Interest in DevOps concepts including test automation
- CI/CD
- and infrastructure as code
- Enthusiasm for working with large datasets
- Ability to communicate complex topics clearly to non-technical peers
