Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior IT Architect to join our team and lead an important assignment within the banking sector. This role is critical as our client currently operates three essential business capabilities necessary for compliance and operational integrity: Record Keeping, Voice Transcription of electronic communications, and eComms Market Abuse Surveillance. These capabilities are mandated by Market Abuse regulations and Mifid regulations, and it is imperative that the bank maintains these functions to remain competitive and compliant in the market. The existing Shield solution in combination with Nexidia is currently fulfilling these requirements, but there are concerns regarding its effectiveness and cost-efficiency. The maturity of the vendor solutions is perceived as suboptimal, affecting the stability and ability to meet regulatory demands. As we explore potential solutions, the initial goal is to conduct a comprehensive architectural analysis to identify existing applications across the bank that can support these capabilities, ensuring they meet both current and future business needs while adhering to compliance standards. This includes assessing the functionality, compliance with technology standards, vendor maturity, and overall value for money.

In this role, you will be tasked with leading the architectural analysis and identifying optimal technology solutions for compliance capabilities across the organization.:

Conduct a thorough review of existing applications and solutions related to Record Keeping, Voice Transcription, and Market Abuse Surveillance.;; Identify gaps in functionality and compliance with technology standards.;; Evaluate the maturity and delivery quality of candidate vendors.;; Develop a target architecture for the Shield solution and associated technologies.;; Provide a roadmap for vendor and solution options, including cost comparisons and compliance assessments.;; Support relevant RFI activities to facilitate vendor selection.

• Strong communication skills to interact with stakeholders at various levels.
• Experience in financial crime prevention is advantageous.
