Software Tester/QA III

Job Description:

    We are seeking a highly skilled Software Tester/QA III to join our dynamic team supporting critical projects for the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) in Washington, DC. This role offers the flexibility of remote work while requiring an active Public Trust clearance to ensure the integrity and security of sensitive information. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in both manual and automated testing processes, with extensive experience in leveraging automated testing tools to enhance software quality. As a key member of our quality assurance team, you will be responsible for executing comprehensive testing strategies, developing reusable test cases, and collaborating closely with development teams to ensure that all software functionalities meet the highest standards. Your contributions will play a vital role in delivering reliable software solutions that meet our clients' needs.

The successful candidate will engage in various testing and quality assurance activities to ensure project deliverables meet specified requirements.:

    Provide independent testing services across all projects within the program's scope;; Develop and maintain automated tests utilizing Sahi Pro or other EPA-approved tools;; Create, maintain, and adapt test databases and procedures to ensure efficient testing;; Design and implement comprehensive test cases that evaluate all software functionalities;; Conduct independent unit testing for system changes during development phases;; Perform retesting on corrective changes as necessary to validate fixes;; Execute full integration and regression testing prior to software releases;; Develop and maintain Sahi Pro scripts to ensure consistent testing processes;; Verify and document successful execution of Sahi Pro tests;; Collaborate with development teams to gain a thorough understanding of system requirements;; Identify, report, and track software defects to resolution;; Participate in the software development lifecycle, providing insights from a QA perspective;; Assist in establishing and maintaining testing standards and best practices;; Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the testing process;; Analyze test results and prepare detailed reports for stakeholders;; Mentor junior testers and promote skill development within the team;; Document testing procedures and ensure up-to-date test documentation;; Participate in test planning and estimation activities to align with project timelines
