Job Description:

    Join our innovative team in New York as an Associate Software Engineer through our 12-month Graduate Program designed for aspiring software engineers. This program will equip you with essential skills and knowledge to thrive in a dynamic technology environment. As a participant, you will undergo comprehensive induction training followed by four rotations, each lasting three months, across various specialized areas within our Enterprise Technology team. This hands-on experience will allow you to engage in real-time projects, gaining insights into our Centers of Excellence and other critical technology functions. You will be immersed in training covering both current and cutting-edge technologies relevant to the Fitch Ratings business, enhancing your capabilities in software application development and deployment. Our Enterprise Technology team is dedicated to creating world-class solutions that empower our Fitch Ratings customers, enabling us to deliver high-quality ratings and research promptly. By the end of the program, you will have developed a robust foundation in software engineering, cloud computing, data analytics, and more, preparing you for a successful career in technology.

As an Associate Software Engineer, you will have the opportunity to implement software solutions from our project backlog while gaining expertise in various areas of software engineering.:

    Develop and test software applications using modern frameworks and technologies.;; Collaborate with teams to design, build, and secure APIs.;; Utilize AWS for application development and enhance your understanding of cloud-based infrastructure.;; Apply test-driven and behavior-driven development methodologies to improve the software lifecycle.;; Work with quality assurance teams to conduct comprehensive testing and ensure software reliability.;; Engage in DevOps and DevSecOps best practices to streamline our development processes.;; Contribute to the development of AI and machine learning models, and design data analytics tools.

Qualifications:

  • Less than 6 months of full-time software engineering experience.
