You will collaborate with an international and interdisciplinary team of highly motivated scientists in the fascinating boundary between research, development, and business-relevant applications.

You will be responsible for conducting research and collaborating with teams to develop innovative industrial sensor technologies.:

    Conduct applied research in industrial sensors for various business areas., Work closely with multi-disciplinary teams in the development of industrial sensor technologies and prototypes., Address complex technical challenges in a structured, creative, and result-oriented manner., Lead research projects in close collaboration with divisions., Identify technology trends in academia, industry, and strategic markets and evaluate their relevance for current and future products., Help protect innovation by securing intellectual property and publishing in scientific conferences., Present work to technical experts and management audiences, including at renowned scientific conferences and trade fairs.

Qualifications:

  • Ph.D. or M.Sc. with equivalent professional experience in mechanical engineering or a related field.
  • Experience in mechanical design
  • including validation and test procedures and system integration.
  • Sound knowledge of materials and design for manufacturing approaches.
  • Knowledge of sensor physics including vibration and modal analysis is considered a plus.
  • Industrial experience in process industries or related is considered a plus.
  • Cross-cultural communication and networking skills.
  • Proficient English skills are mandatory; additional German skills are beneficial.
